Now we are well into the new year and things are taking time to get going. Tim and Gail have had a little daughter, though we are still waiting on a name! Good luck to you both!!!
With Tim now having his hands full the rest of us have been working on our own projects, Simon has been doing some charity gigs, Stuart has been working on his own business, and Ross has been eyeing up some studio equipment.
We are hoping to get back in the studio in the next few weeks. People keep asking about are next live dates, and the short answer is , " I dont know!", as soon as anything happens we will post it here!!!

Well, the year is drawing to an end. And what an eventful one it has been! Two children, several gigs and loads of new songs!
We are going up to Camden to celebrate 2009 and it would be lovely if you could join us! This set will be all original material. See the gigs page for more info.
2010 is already being planned, with Ross wanting to put more tracks down on tape, so we will be busy working on an album for a while.
See you all down the road..........................

We would like to thank all of you that came last Friday, the Boars Head always has a good atmosphere, and as far as we can tell, you were the largest crowd we have played to - so congratulations!!
You seemed to enjoy the new songs we have put in the set list ,"Hard days night" was a personal favourite and Ross' new song ,"Hollow" was as good as we have played it!
We are still waiting to book our return to The Boars Head, and confirm our next dates up in London and Copthorne.
The new songs are still being mixed and should be available soon.
Best wishes

Dear All,
Sorry to annouce that we are having to cancel the gig on Tuesday 15th Sept, at the Hope and Anchor Islington, due to Simon having to attend a family funeral. Obviously this is unavoidable and at short notice, we hope we can re-book something there very soon.
We should have some new material recorded and ready for distribution at the next gig.
I do hope you can all attend The Boars Head next month, see you there.
19th August 2009
We have now finalised plans to record more original material, so we are going in the studio on the 19th September 09. As soon as we have the final mixes we will put them on our myspace page.
Also we have confirmed two more live performances. We will be appearing at the Hope and Anchor in London mid-September, and The Boars Head in Horsham for early October. More details are on the gig page.
The pace is starting to pick up.......!!!

In the final stages of booking some recording time for September to put down some new songs, trying to book these things is pretty hard work as the guys are all busy with their lives- but I think we are almost there!
We will make them available on line as and when they are ready.
Looking forward to the gig next week. The revised set will include some faster numbers, so we hope you all enjoy it.
Rehersal went well last week, and apart from Stuart having an accident in his van, all seems ok for next week. (Stuart is fine by the way!)
Happy days.......

After a strange month with a few people on holiday, The Seladores are back in the studio working on the show for the 7th August. After some discussion we are going to "rock it up" a bit. It feels good to play a few classics, it gets the crowd going and we enjoy the reaction it generates.
At the last show, Ross put in some new material which went down well and we will be hoping to build on that with the next set.
Personally I cant wait to record some of the newer songs. As a drummer you are always hoping the main songwriters will come up with something interesting that you can put your "stamp on", and so far Ross hasn't been a disappointment. I dont know where he gets his ideas - I last wrote a song about 13 years ago!!
Happy trails.................

13th June 2009
Thank you to everyone who turned up to The Cherry Tree last night, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it is nice to get such a positive reaction. Dancing ladies are always appreciated! To all those that took a CD we hope you enjoy it!
We are currently tweaking the set for the next show back at the Cherry Tree, and should be booking more shows locally, and up in London soon.
See you all again very soon!

Well hello! It's been a while ....... Sorry I haven't been writing... The Seladores have had a little break as my baby girl, Isabella, was born on the 22nd of April and Simon's little girl, Eva, was born I think 2 days later (sorry Simon - I've forgotten...!) so we've both been up to our eyes in nappies and stuff and generally getting to grips with our new little girls... I'm now getting to the stage where the only language I can speak is baby talk..!! Anyways, The Seladores are back rehersing next week for our next gig on the 12th of June at The Cherry Tree (see gig page) so it's all kicking off again now! I should soon be able to speak adult talk again ..... hopefully......
I hope now to book loads of gigs and try and get us all into the studio at some point - time to pick up the pace and get GOING!!!!!!
Bye for now!
And to whosever reading this... Thanks!!

Hello again loyal followers... Hope you are all well..!
So we played last night... we played well I think in The Boston Music Rooms... we certainly stood out! Most of the other bands were kind of playing Arctic Monkeys kinda stuff and there we were with the harmonica and organ and stuff... it was cool though - who wants to be the same as everyone else? Well a lot of people actually but not me! We didn't get through (surprise surprise!). I don't think that's a reflection on our playing though. I think if it were the great man himself (Bob Dylan) in disguise, he wouldn't have got through either! Everyone seems content with sticking to that 'same' sound... so many bands today sound the same to me.. I am a music fanatic - make no mistake but very few new bands do it for me at the moment. I seem to be going further back instead of forward in my tastes.. there doesn't seem to be much heart or soul in a lot of this new music... no real meoldies to speak of... just a continuing monotone chanting that people like to shake their stuff to.. people are so easily pleased.. Oh and this isn't me being bitter and twisted or bitchy because we didn't make it through by the way. I didn't expect us to make it through. All the other bands brought people with them who then voted for them. We brought person!! person!! So it was no surpise. I just want to see some more meaningful, melodic well written music getting out there - I think people are losing sight of what music is or at least should be.
Oh well.....
What's next for The Seladores???? Well - I'm gonna be looking into getting a manger and sorting out some good stuff to send them and stuff... we need help! We can play the music etc. but we now realise i think that we need help from someone in the know. No more stupid battle of the bands, empty pointless gigs in London in an attempt to fill the promoter's pockets full of £... it's all bollocks and draining and soul destroying.. It's time to do things properly and time to get out there to the people that matter - the people that want to hear us! The people with taste! So that's what we've gotta do.... See you all down the road!

Hello!!! So, what's been happening in the land of The Seladores...... well, we have a new band logo!! You should have seen it on our welcome page - I'm pleased with it myself, think it looks pretty cool. I'm at home making CD's with it right now..... have this new lightscribe thing that burns the image onto the disc.. very cool... but no one told me it taked 15 minutes per disc!!!! God damn! I'll still be doing this in a fortnight!! Oh well.... Also now that I've got the logo sorted (which by the way was created by my neighbour!Ricky Parrett on 07732 794 530 if any wants to get anything made!) I'm gonna get some T-shirts and stuff done. So if you are a fan (!!) and wanting some stuff, keep an eye out!
We had a good practice on Wednesday and things are shaping up well for next Sunday's gig in London. The set list is sorted..! Now, if ANYONE wants to come along, please let us know. You can get tickets on the door as well as through me for £6. It'll be a good night and we're gonna have it!! So come!!
Okay, so anyways... back to the CD making....AHH!!!!

Hello! I've posted some photos of the gig (from Wednesday) on our facebook page. You can access our page by going to the link in the music/videos page.
I REALLY enjoyed the gig on Wednesday... It was great and thankyou to everyone who came.
Everyone said what a difference both Stu and Eric made - it's sooooo true. The sound was fantastic and ok, we need a couple more practices with a couple of the songs but on a whole - I was loving it. We eill be playing back at The Boar's Head soon - I will keep you posted. Hopefully at the Cherry Tree too soon - again I'll keep you posted.
So we're in London at this Surface Festival thing on the 8th of Feb.... still deciding on a set list as i think we only get about half an hour or something initially.... I've got tickets but haven't sold any yet.... I've got to sort it out!!!! If anyone wants to buy some please get in touch with us through the website... we do need votes on the night so if anyone does fancy it, it'll be cool!!
There is also a text line open (opened yesterday or something) that people can vote for us!!
So, you have to text: "London 6032" to 64343.
Anyways, I'm gonna be inroducing some new songs to the band in a couple of weeks when we next meet up. I've gotta couple in mind that I think will suit the organ VERY well so we'll see. Also, I want to record some more stuff next month so keep your eyes peeled as we'll be posting whatever new songs on Facebook.
Take care
Ross

Yo
So we met up with Stu last night for a jam and he is now officially the Seladores new guitarist!!! I think he's gonna bring a new edge to the band... we're meeting up again next Monday to go through some stuff but I don't think it'll take long..
Welcome Stuart! (Don't know your surname yet... have to get that..)
Also, in other Seladore news, I went up to London on Sunday to have a meeting about this Surface Festival thing that we're doing... Our first gig is on the 8th of February at 9.30pm in The Boston Music Rooms opposite Tuffnel Park Tube Station. The way it works is we'll play a 25 minute set along with some other bands and whoever gets the most votes goes through to the next set of gigs... until there's only a few bands remaining and then there's like the finals... or something.. anyway could be good exposure so I thought we'd go for it...
I'll put some more details up on the Gigs page shortly but I have got a number of tickets for the event available to sell if anyone wants one.. let me know! And please vote!
Anyways, work to do now.. moving house on Saturday.. all very stressful...
Peace and love
Ross

Hello! Lots has been happening in the world of The Seladores this week! Firstly we recorded stuff.. tracks last Monday (I Wonder and Aint Ready To Die) which I'm gonna post on-line today - let us know what you think! We're really happy with them and Scott (the main man recording and mixing guy) has done a FANTASTIC job with them me thinks...
Secondly Matt has officially left the band due to many reasons and he will be missed - Good luck Mathew
We are currently looking for someone to take his place and are meeting up with a fella in two weeks - I'll keep you all posted.
We are booked in to record two more tracks next Monday with Scott again. We're trying to get as much done with Scott as we can as he's moving to France on the 30th of November (Doh!!!)
Well that's about it for now.... Please do comment on the stuff.. new tracks - I'll be posting them on Facebook and Myspace
Bye for now and take care!!

Hi - thought I'd add a blog page that I'm gonna try and keep up to date as much as poss - somewhere I can just ramble on about stuff... Friday's gig at The Cherry Tree was cool - I enjoyed it and apart from a few feedback issues the sound was pretty well balanced. Getting the sound reight is THE hardest part of any gig for me - it's hard to judge when you're playing.. and like The Boar's Head, there's a great atmosphere but also, shall we say, a little 'cosy' and tight for space so we all end up like crammed up against speakers and amps and stuff so you know, we did our best and I think the new set-list worked pretty well... although I will be changing it AGAIN! One day I hope I might be satisfied comletely with a set list but I doubt it... 'cos I'm always in a different mood on the night of the gig to the mood I was in when the set list was decided.... also I want to add another 4 or 5 new or dropped songs of mine to the next list.. we're recording tomorrow and I have decided what we're gonna put down.. I think! Problem is, I've got some new stuff I would rather be recording but cos we've only recorded stuff.. tracks as a band and with a current set-list of about 2stuff.. songs, we've gotta record some sopngs we already play before moving on I guess or we'll get in a right old mess! After the recording tomorrow though I want to focus on some fresh songs with the band.....
Now a little note to Simon: he was moaning again on Friday about a distince lack of photos with him in.. it's a fair comment! Problem is, he's kinda sat at the back hidden away so all the photos that are taken are usually of us 3 and not him.. because of this, I asked Natalie (my photographer..ha ha!) to make sure she got a good snap of him.. she didn't do too bad... I've gotta load it and play with it a bit (Simon's got red eye in it and looks like a demon right now.. don't want that!) but I will sort it out! I promise!
Anyways, I've gotta dash now! As soon as I get the recordings of tomorrow's session I will post it on our Myspace/Facebook page so keep an eye out! They should hopefully be cool..
